There are 2 main types of nose reshaping procedures, surgical nose jobs and non-surgical nose jobs:

This form of nose job is reshaping via surgical procedure. It is an invasive surgical procedure which is permanent.

Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that is aimed to reshape the nose. The procedure can make your nose appear smaller or larger. It can also change the angle of your nose. The surgical procedure can also be used to correct defects such as bumps or indentations.

Most rhinoplasty procedures require the surgeon to make an incision to gain access to the cartilage and bones that support the nose. The incision is usually made inside your nose. By doing so, the cuts will be invisible after surgery.

From then on, the surgeon can add tissues and/or remove cartilage or bone. It entirely depends on the desired result.

After the surgeon has reshaped and/or rearrange the nose to the desired result, the tissue and skin is then redraped over the new structured nose. It is common for the surgeon to use a splint outside the nose to support the newly restructured nose while it heals.

Rhinoplasty is a procedure that can either be done with local or general anesthesia. In most cases, the surgery is done as an outpatient procedure. However, there are times that an overnight stay at the surgery center or hospital is required.
